Family Guy Brian and Stewie and Watch for Free
Seth MacFarlane's Family Guy is 18. That's a hell of a lot of giggity's, Buzz Killingtons and Conway Twittys.
Non bad for a show that was really cancelled and taken off the air for 3 years. Like swain cartoons The Simpsons and South Park before it, we tin can't help but rampage on the residents of Quahog whenever nosotros get the risk.
But what are the peculiarly best episodes ever made? Nosotros've selected our ultimate favourites, so find out if yours made the list below:
xvi. 'Da Boom' (season two)
Best line: Peter: "Pitiful but I don't take coupons from giant chickens, not later last time."
Early Family unit Guy might be rather dated and tough to watch nowadays, but in that location are still some gems, and this was i of the first to move out of the normal sitcom conventions that it pretty much totally ignores today.
Airing in late 1999, it showed what Quahog looked like afterward the Y2K issues broke the world. Stewie became a radioactive squid, Randy Newman was found in the wastelands, and in that location was fifty-fifty a strange live-action sequence involving Victoria Master and Patrick Duffy spoofing the "Who Shot JR?" storyline in Dallas. Archetype bonkers Family Guy.
And of course, information technology launched the epic rivalry between Peter and Ernie the Giant Chicken that has returned many times since. This was potentially the offset time fans realised this wasn't but a Simpsons ripoff.
15. 'Meet the Quagmires' (flavor 5)
All-time line: Brian: "Wow. xviii year old Lois. Son of a bitch."
Any episode that features time travel is usually a winner (there's several in this list). Using the classic Christmas Carol trope, Death shows Peter what his life would exist like if he did things differently.
He and Brian travel back to 1984 for a day, but this time he drops Lois at their prom, and the time to come is inverse. Al Gore is President and daze horror: Lois and Quagmire are married. And the kids all accept his chin.
The all-time thing well-nigh this episode is that it turns into a brilliant parody of Dorsum to the Future, and was an case of Family Guy'southward amazing "Route to..." episodes (gear up for plenty more), only with Brian and Peter instead of Stewie this time.
14. 'So At that place Were Fewer' (season 9)
Best line: Quagmire: "Can't we all just be happy she'due south dead?"
For the season nine hour-long premiere, Family Guy went full murder mystery spoof, considering why non? Regular guest star James Forest invited every major character to his seaside manor for a Clue-style dinner political party. After Woods is 'killed', the guests offset a search to discover the killer.
This was a rare episode which didn't rely likewise much on cutaway gags, and independent so many recurring characters who would unremarkably never interact. We never thought nosotros'd run across Jillian's boyfriend Derek hanging out with Seamus the ocean captain.
Near shocking was that several characters actually died and stayed dead – including Muriel Goodman and Diane Simmons. That's one way to cut some dead wood.
thirteen. 'Road to Rhode Isle' (season two)
Best line: Stewie: "Oh God, yous're non coming out of the closet are you? Ugh, why does everyone always come up out to me?"
The first of several of the ballsy Brian and Stewie "Road to..." episodes, and we can never get plenty of the bromantic pair.
In this i, Brian picks Stewie upwards from his grandparents' house but they soon go lost subsequently their airplane tickets are stolen. And and then begins an amazing road trip as they try to go back to Quahog before Lois finds out.
Not merely was it hilarious, but it didn't shy away from existence ultra emotional either. Brian visited the puppy house where he was born, stealing his late mother's taxidermied body in the process. 1 of the rare emotionally-charged moments in the evidence.
12. 'Road to the Northward Pole' (season nine)
Best line: Stewie: "He was gonna telephone call the cops, man, you can't call the cops on Santa."
Another Stewie and Brian journey saw them travel to the North Pole in order to impale Santa Claus, but all they discovered was a wrecked and polluted mill full of diseased elves and feral reindeer.
The pair assistance Mr Claus by attempting to deliver gifts around the world, simply this of course just leads to disaster. And a family's Christmas being utterly ruined.
In that location are so many moments which are Christmas comedy aureate, from the epic 'Christmastime is Killing U.s.' song to the Aurora Boreanaz cameo.
11. 'McStroke' (flavor 6)
Best line: Peter: "Then I judge we'll take our millions of dongs elsewhere..."
This was ane of the best Peter-being-stupid episodes. Here, he decides to grow a moustache, just after he fails to do then he eats his weight in McBurgertown burgers, leading to a massive stroke and leaving the left side of his body paralysed.
And so aye, Family Guy went there and somehow made strokes funny. He eventually gets instantly cured by stem cells, and met a talking moo-cow at the McBurgertown factory, who Peter and Brian set gratis via a Monkees-manner hunt. A farce of an episode, just in a expert mode.
10. 'Quagmire's Dad' (season viii)
Best line: Brian: "Hey... I f**ked your dad."
As Brian went from sensible Joe to womanizing jerk, information technology also meant that we got to enjoy plenty of Brian vs Quagmire battles. The best of which, was when Brian accidentally shagged his dad.
Equally Dan Quagmire arrived on the scene, his creepy son was shocked to find that he'd transitioned, becoming Ida. And for Family Guy standards, it was surprisingly kind to the transgender community. Sort of.
Brian has a one-nighttime stand with Ida, and when he discovers who she really is, he barfs all over the place just like in the amazing ipecac incident in season iv. Quagmire proceeds to crush the crap out of him, simply for Brian to utter: "Hey... I f**ked your dad." Amazing.
9. 'I Dream of Jesus' (season 7)
Best line: "Sir, our maths shows that the bird is equal to, or greater than the word."
AKA the 'Bird is the Word' episode. Here, Peter really finds Jesus. He'south working at a record shop. Peter convinces him to reveal himself to the world, taking down President George W Bush in the procedure.
Just the main reason the episode is so great is the aforementioned 'Surfin' Bird' running gag, in which Peter annoys the hell out of everyone past continuously finding ways to shoehorn in the catchy 1950s Trashmen tune. Fifty-fifty now, you never know when it might strike again.
viii. 'PTV' (flavour 8)
Best line: FCC officeholder: "His chin looks like balls. You want me to embrace that, also?"
Family Guy ofttimes pushes things as far as possible, so nosotros're guessing the writers take a bit of a frosty relationship with the censors. This episode was their style of aiming all their acrimony at the agencies who become in the way.
The somewhat ridiculous episode saw Peter launch his ain Tv network, including R-rated reruns of classic TV shows and "Side Puppet Hour", which saw the FCC shut him down too. And so they started censoring real life also. The family then journeying to Washington to set everything right again.
It was one of those episodes where all the jokes worked, and it featured one of the show's starting time over-the-top song numbers, and it wasn't merely to pad for time.
seven. 'Brian and Stewie' (season 8)
All-time line: Stewie: "You lot requite my life purpose, and maybe, maybe that's enough. Considering that's just about the greatest souvenir one friend tin give another."
Nosotros've already made it clear how much we love Brian and Stewie episodes, and the championship alone makes it obvious why we honey this ane.
The two discover themselves accidentally trapped inside a bank vault all weekend, and presently they are forced to reveal their true feelings near each other, and question their beingness and purpose in life.
While information technology'southward awesome to run into these ii together, this episode was particularly swell considering it is the only 1 ever not to use any cutaway gags at all, and they're the only characters on show. Not even Peter appears. Clearly, the writers know exactly what the fans want.
6. 'Something, Something, Something, Dark Side' (season eight)
Best line: Lois as Leia: "I love y'all". Peter every bit Han: "F**thou off".
The second of the show's Star Wars parodies was almost as practiced as the showtime, but much better than the third. So, almost like the actual Star Wars films.
Like with Blue Harvest, the power in the Griffins' house goes out, leading to Peter retelling The Empire Strikes Back, with Family Guy characters playing Star Wars icons, such as every bit Peter as Han, Chris every bit Luke, even Ernie the Chicken as Boba Fett.
You lot kinda have to be a Star Wars fan to get all the jokes, and the whole exercise is a fleck baroque on paper, simply it works.
Though, nosotros disagree with Peter. We prefer the Robot Chicken specials.
five. 'Petarded' (season four)
Best line: Stewie: "Chris, whatever happened to Geena Davis? She used to exist in movies, but she's not in movies anymore. She'southward attractive enough simply when she smiles you see too much gum. Non a good tooth-to-glue ratio... Chris? Ah, I'll tell y'all in the forenoon."
Some other Peter going crazy episode, and ane of the very best. He wins a Lilliputian Pursuit game, and instantly thinks he'south a genius.
Afterwards being challenged to apply for a MacArthur Genius Grant, he's actually labelled as being mentally retarded. Whoops. In time, Peter is exploiting his diagnosis, and manages to even lose custody of his children to Cleveland.
Tackling a sensitive subject field, it didn't go downward all that well at the time with censors and charity groups. Only if you like your offensive sense of humor, this was one of the all-time episodes ever.
iv. 'I Take Thee, Quagmire' (season four)
Best line: Cleveland: "Hey, Quagmire, is that a banana in your pocket or an erection in your pocket?"
Quagmire is one dirty canis familiaris. He's borderline insane and should probably exist in jail. But he'due south withal utterly hilarious.
This was 1 of the first episodes to showcase just how ridiculously awful he could be. At first, information technology seems he might exist changing when he falls in love with Peter's new maid and decides to marry her.
Before long, he's wanting out, merely finds out she will kill him and herself if he leaves her. So, he has to fake his own death, leading to many silly scrapes for how to attain this, earlier Death himself takes Joan instead. And then Quagmire does stuff with the torso, naturally. Dark and horrible, but vivid.
three. 'Blue Harvest' (season vi)
All-time line: Peter: "Hi, I'grand Han Solo. I'grand Captain of the Millennium Falcon, and the only actor whose career isn't destroyed past actualization in this picture show."
See #6. Pretty much the aforementioned but amend.
2. 'Dorsum to the Airplane pilot' (season ten)
Best line: Peter: "Hey Lois, I institute some double-sided tape. I think I can exercise about seven minutes worth of funny stuff with information technology. That should get united states to the 'Million Kissing Booth' story."
This Stewie and Brian-axial episode was pure genius. The pair utilise a time motorcar to travel back in fourth dimension to the very first episode – leading to many clever gags nearly how dissimilar the show looks, dissimilar cast voices and how dissimilar the one-act is in comparison.
And then, Brian tells his one-time self virtually 9/xi, and their present time is totally changed, causing a second civil war. They and then have to forestall themselves from going dorsum in the showtime place.
Yet, this proves REALLY hard, producing countless versions of each other at the same time. Non simply was the episode hilarious with amazing Brian and Stewie moments, but information technology was genuinely quite clever in the fourth dimension-travel stakes, which is impressive on a nerd level.
1. 'Road to the Multiverse' (flavour 8)
All-time line: Quagmire: "Thank you honey, say hi to your hubby. [a device on his chugalug beeps] Oh, I've got AIDS again, ameliorate take my NyQuil Cold, Flu and AIDS. [he takes the pills] All gone!"
Another crazy Brian and Stewie risk. This time, they casually mange to visit Quahog in various other universes, including a Flintstones-mode metropolis, a Disney planet, a world where Japan won WWII, a Robot Craven world, and even a live-action version.
This might not take had the almost interesting plot, but with each new world, information technology just got more and more entertaining and so much fun. Coupled with Brian and Stewie forepart and centre, information technology fabricated for the all-time Family Guy episode ever.
